Agartala, 25th October 2025: The 46th edition of the state-level Murasing Socio-Cultural Fair is set to begin on November 5, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ras Purnima. As in previous years, members of the Murasing community are preparing to observe the festival with devotion, centering their rituals around the worship of Shri Shri Harichand Goswami.
The fair will be held at the temple premises of Shri Shri Harichand Goswami in Pratichhari Murasing Para, located within the Santir Bazar subdivision. Every year, the temple draws devotees from across the state, including various tribal and non-tribal communities, who gather to offer prayers and participate in the festivities.
This year’s fair will feature stalls from various government departments showcasing public welfare schemes and initiatives. In addition, visitors can enjoy a series of cultural performances that will continue throughout the night.
To ensure the smooth execution of the event, a preparatory meeting was convened October 21 last at the Pratichhari Community Hall. The meeting was attended by MDC Padmalochan Tripura of Mirza Kathalia Rajapur constituency Krishna Reang, Chairman of Bokafa Panchayat Samiti, Santirbazar SDM Sanjib Chakma, President of the Murasing Social Organization Sunil Murasing, General Secretary of Murasing Teifang Badal Bhagyachandra Murasing, Youth President Rajesh Murasing, SDPO Bappi Debbarma, and OC of Manpathar Police Station Jayanta Das, along with officials from various departments.
Discussions focused on traffic regulations and logistical arrangements to ensure the fair is conducted efficiently. MDC Padmalochan Tripura and Chairman Krishna Reang emphasized the importance of government support and collaborative planning in organizing the event. Speaking to the media, MDC Tripura expressed optimism that, with collective effort, this year’s fair will be as successful as previous editions.
