5.6 scale Earthquake hits Tripura

Agartala, 2^nd   December 2023: In a seismic event this morning at 9 AM, Tripura and parts of North Eastern states experienced a 5.6 magnitude earthquake. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the epicenter was located in Bangladesh with a depth of 55 kilometers.

Tripura lie in the Siesmic Zone-IV of the country, which means they are at a very high risk in terms of vulnerability to earthquakes
