Agartala, 27th October 2026 : A 51-foot-tall metal statue of Lord Hanuman is set to be installed at Kalikamura in the Mohanpur subdivision of Tripura, with the initiative being undertaken by the Srishti Narmadeshwar Shivling and Veer Hanuman Mandir Trust.
Located in the eastern part of Kalikamura, the temple trust is involved in religious activities as well as social welfare initiatives aimed at helping vulnerable sections of society. The proposed statue is expected to become a significant addition to the temple complex.
On Tuesday, Subrata Sarkar, founding president of the trust, addressed the media on the temple premises and appealed to devotees following the Sanatan tradition and people across the country to extend financial assistance for the project.
Sarkar said the construction of the massive statue would require substantial funds and urged people to contribute through the QR code linked to the trust’s account. He stressed that public support was essential for completing the statue and developing the temple.
According to Sarkar, the trust has several plans for future social welfare activities and is committed to working for the benefit of society without any personal interest.
He appealed to devotees and well-wishers to come forward and support the initiative, expressing hope that collective contributions would help fulfil the temple’s vision. He concluded his appeal with the devotional slogan, “Jai Siya Ram.”
