Agartala, November 15: A six-day long skill development workshop was organized by Society for Entrepreneurship Development with the support of Panisagar Nagar Panchayat on on Monday last at the office hall of Panisagar Old Nagar Panchayat in North Tripura district.
In this, a total of 31 women from 18 self-help groups in urban areas were trained to make file covers and envelopes. The training workshop began from November 08 last and concluded on Monday last. Deputy Executive Officer of Panisagar Nagar Panchayat, Dibakar Jamatia was seated on the stage at the end of the six-day workshop. Babul Debnath, Senior Faculty of SOfED, ITI Road in Agartala’s Indranagar area was present on the occasion. SOfED Program Coordinator Moni Ram Ravidas, SAFED Master Trainer Ankita Sinha from Agartala along with prominent officials of Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission.
The six-day training workshop imparts skill in penmanship along with precision. On behalf of SOfED, throughout the year, efforts have been made to make women of self-help groups more self-reliant in cities or villages in some parts of the state. In past days also special training on such self-reliance was imparted in Panisagar Nagar Panchayat.
At the end of the training, the trainees were given the certificates by the hands of the officers present. Apart from this, the women of self-help groups benefited from the six-day skill training were also interviewed by the local media on their training experience and evaluation.
