75-year-old man missing at Dharmanagar, family files diary

Agartala, 31st January 2026:    Panic has spread in Haflong Gorjontila area under Dewanpasha Gram Panchayat after 75-year-old Mon Bahadur Sonar went missing. Sonar, son of late Shyam Bahadur Sonar, left home on January 27 to visit his ancestral house in Shibpur Colony but never returned.

His son, Joy Bahadur Sonar, lodged a missing diary at Dharmanagar police station last night. Despite extensive searches among relatives and acquaintances, no trace has been found. At the time of disappearance, he was wearing an army-colored jacket and black formal trousers.

The family has appealed to police for urgent action and requested anyone with information to contact Dharmanagar police or call 8787398798 / 8798919971. The incident has caused deep concern among local residents. Police said all possible angles are being investigated.
