Agartala, 22nd December 2025:  The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Kamalnagar Nagar unit today submitted a memorandum to the Kalyanpur School Inspector demanding immediate steps to address the acute shortage of benches at Totabari High School in Tripura’s Khowai district.

ABVP leaders said the school, located under the Kalyanpur block, has been facing the problem for several years, forcing students to sit on the floor during classes. The student body alleged that repeated appeals by the school and local residents have failed to evoke any response from the authorities.

Terming the situation unacceptable, ABVP leaders said the lack of basic classroom infrastructure was severely affecting the learning environment. A delegation of ABVP office-bearers and local unit members was present during the deputation and urged the administration to ensure the immediate supply of benches to the school.

The issue has renewed focus on infrastructural deficiencies in rural schools across the state.
