Agartala, 22nd November 2024:   Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Friday gheraoed Bishalgarh police station demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible for attacking ABVP District Coordinator Shubhajit Roy and Bishalgarh Nagar Branch Secretary Tamal Bhowmik. The protestors blocked the main gate preventing any vehicles from leaving the station to perform their duties.

The students voiced their frustration with the police administration and issued a stern warning to the current BJP government, urging them to take action or face consequences. “We demand justice for our leaders and will not back down until the miscreants are arrested,” declared an ABVP spokesperson.

The protest caused panic among traders in the Bishalgarh market, as tensions escalated in the area. In response, a delegation from the ABVP met with Bishalgarh Police Station OC Sanjit Sen, giving him a two-day deadline to apprehend the attackers.
