Agartala, June 6, 2023: Tragedy struck in Baikhora under the Santirbazar sub-division on Tuesday as a collision between a Maruti car and an auto resulted in the loss of one life and left another person injured.
Reportedly, a collision took place between a Maruti Alto car bearing registration number TR08A-0381 and an auto-rickshaw TR08-3750 at Baikhora Bazar under Santirbazar subdivision on Tuesday morning. The auto driver and a woman inside the auto were seriously injured.
Immediately after the accident, the local people took the injured to Baikhora primary health center and the condition of the auto driver among the injured was critical and the doctor on duty referred the auto driver to South Tripura District Hospital at Santirbazar. The auto driver succumbed to his injuries. The deceased auto driver was a resident of Bagafa area of Santirbazar subdivision. His name is Shah Alam Mia (28).
The woman injured in this accident is Suchitra Reang (23). The dead auto driver’s body will be handed over to the family members after post-mortem. Shah Alam Mia’s unusual death has cast a shadow of mourning over the entire area.
