Administration reviews post-ADC election situation at Mandwi

Agartala, 23rd April 2026:  A high-level joint team of the district and police administration visited the Mandwi area of West Tripura on Thursday to assess the situation following the recent Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections.

The delegation was led by District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar and Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, accompanied by senior officials. Acting on directives from Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha to maintain law and order, the team convened meetings at the Mandai Block Office and Mandai Police Station, issuing instructions to ensure peace and stability.

During interactions with officials and local residents, Dr. Kumar noted that conditions were gradually returning to normal and emphasized that strict measures were in place to prevent any untoward incidents. Superintendent Pathak echoed the assurance, stating that the situation was currently stable and under close monitoring, urging the public not to be alarmed.

Authorities confirmed that the administration is actively working to safeguard peace and restore complete normalcy in the region.
