Agartala, 1ST June 2026: District Magistrate & Collector Dr. Siddartha Shiv Jaiswal conducted a joint inspection of the Boxanagar border area under Sonamura Sub-Division, accompanied by the Superintendent of Police, Commandant of the 49 Battalion BSF, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sonamura), and the concerned Tehsildar.
The visit aimed to assess the prevailing situation, review security arrangements, and evaluate ongoing administrative measures in the sensitive border region. During the inspection, officials interacted with field-level personnel and discussed key issues related to border management, public safety, and inter-agency coordination.
The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring peace, security, and effective governance in border areas through proactive monitoring & strengthened coordination among departments.
