Agartala, 1ST June 2026: A District-Level Buyer–Seller Meet was successfully organized today at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s Office in Unakoti district under the chairmanship of District Magistrate & Collector Megha Jain, IAS. The programme was conducted in the presence of ADM & Collector (Planning & Procurement) Sagar Sobhan Debnath, IAS.
The event witnessed the participation of more than 60 attendees, including Self-Help Group (SHG) women entrepreneurs and prospective buyers from various sectors. SHG members showcased a diverse range of locally produced goods, drawing considerable attention from buyers interested in procurement as well as establishing long-term business collaborations.
The meet served as a vital platform for direct interaction between producers and buyers, enabling meaningful discussions on product demand, quality, and supply capabilities. It also facilitated the strengthening of market linkages for SHG-produced items.
During the programme, a strategic roadmap was outlined to enhance local sales channels and improve market access for SHG products. The initiative is expected to play a significant role in promoting locally made goods while contributing to sustainable livelihoods and overall rural economic development in the district.
