Agartala East Police Station arrests two thieves, recovers stolen bikes

Agartala, 28th December 2024:    The Agartala East Police Station successfully arrested two thieves and recovered two stolen bikes. The arrested individuals are Suman Bhattacharjee and Biswajit Saha. Both were presented before the court on Saturday seeking police remand.

Addressing the media personnel here, SDPO Debprasad Roy stated, “Two bike theft cases were filed in November and December last year. A team was formed under the leadership of East Police Station OC Rana Chatterjee to investigate the cases.” He further explained that multiple raids were conducted across various locations in the city, leading to the recovery of the stolen bikes from a jungle area near the bypass.

Roy mentioned that the bikes’ location was discovered after questioning Suman Bhattacharjee and Biswajit Saha. “The suspects were handed over to the court today on police remand. They will be taken on police remand for further questioning, and we aim to apprehend others involved in these thefts,” he added.
