Agartala, 23rd October 2025: The Agartala Municipal Corporation will organize the Sharad Samman award ceremony on October 25 at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan.
This year, a total of 21 clubs will be honored across various categories. The announcement was made by Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder during a press conference held today at the Agartala Municipal Corporation conference hall.
Mayor Majumder stated that, like every year, awards will be distributed among clubs from four zones—Central, South, East, and North—in different categories. In addition, a Best of the Best award will also be presented.
In the Central Zone, Surya Toran Club will receive the award for Best Idol, Netaji Play Forum Center for Best Pandal, Nabadiganta Club for Best Illumination, and Blood Mouth Club for Best Theme. From the South Zone, Udyaman Sangha will be awarded for Best Idol, Milanchakra Club for Best Pandal, Apanjon Club for Best Illumination, and Bharat Mata Sangha for Best Theme.
In the East Zone, Sphulinga Club will be recognized for Best Idol, Ramthakur Sangha for Best Pandal, Shibnagar Modern Club Amra Tarun Dal for Best Illumination, and Shatadal Sangha for Best Theme. In the North Zone, Elbert Club will receive the award for Best Idol, Shantikami Sangha for Best Pandal, New Star Club for Best Illumination, and Mahan Club for Best Theme. Each winning club will receive a beautifully designed trophy and a cheque worth ₹25,000.
Additionally, five clubs will be honored with the Best of the Best awards in various categories. Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Club will receive the award for Best Idol, Kunjaban Sporting Club for Best Pandal, Flowers Club for Best Illumination, Cosmopolitan Club for Best Theme, and Shibnagar Mahila Puja Committee will be honored as the Best Puja organized by women. Each of these clubs will receive a trophy and a cheque worth ₹50,000.
Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta and several other corporators were also present at the press conference.
