Agartala Postal Division holds cycling rally in city

Agartala, 3rd August 2025:   The Agartala Postal Division in association with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Agartala Cycloholics Foundation under the Fit India Mission organized the ‘SundayOnCycle’ rally this morning.

The rally began at 6:30 AM from the Agartala Head Post Office, was jointly flagged off by Manik Lal Das, Superintendent of Post Offices, Agartala Postal Division and a representative from SAI. The route covered key locations including Dhaleswar Sub Post Office, Durjayanagar Branch Post Office, and Agartala Aerodrome Sub Post Office before concluding back at the starting point.

Highlighting both community engagement and sustainability, the event aimed to celebrate the essential role of postmen while encouraging citizens to embrace cycling as a healthy and eco-conscious lifestyle choice.

Approximately 50 to 55 members from the Agartala Cycloholics Foundation, along with several postal staff and city residents, took part in the rally. Their enthusiastic participation highlighted the message of unity and public health awareness.

“This rally pays tribute to the tireless dedication of our postmen while promoting fitness and sustainable transport,” said Manik Lal Das during the event.

To acknowledge the participants’ efforts, each cyclist was presented with a token of appreciation, including a trophy, certificate and refreshments capping off a morning marked by camaraderie, health, and civic pride.
