Agartala Press Club thanks CM, EM for supporting cancer-stricken journalist Arun Deb

Agartala, November 25, 2022: Responding to the request of Agartala Press Club, the state government stood by the cancer-stricken journalist. President of Kumarghat Press Club and veteran journalist Arun Deb is bedridden due to cancer. His physical condition is critical.

Agartala Press Club Secretary Pranab Sarkar requested Chief Minister Manik Saha to stand by the cancer-stricken journalist. Responding to the request, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha gave financial assistance of Rs 25 thousand on Friday. Earlier, the Education minister Ratan Lal Nath went to the house of Arun Deb who was suffering from cancer in Kumarghat and gave financial help of Rs 50 thousand.

Apart from this, Agartala Press Club Secretary Pranab Sarkar has personally given financial assistance of Rs 5,000. Besides, the government has also assured cooperation in treatment. Agartala Press Club expresses its gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Education Minister for standing by the cancer-stricken journalist. Besides, Agartala Press Club wished speedy recovery of the cancer-stricken journalist.
