Agartala, 21st May 2026: A two-day “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Maha Prashikshan Varga” training camp of the Bharatiya Janata Party commenced on Thursday at Baidyanath Majumdar Higher Secondary School in the Chandipur Assembly constituency, with State Minister for Social Education and Social Welfare and Chandipur MLA Tinku Roy inaugurating the programme.
The training camp began at 11 am in the presence of several BJP leaders and local representatives, including BJP Unakoti District President Bimal Kar, Chandipur Mandal President Pintu Ghosh, Chandipur Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Sampada Das Pal, and BJP youth activist Nayan Pal among others. The inaugural ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a rendition of “Vande Mataram” by members of Sanskar Bharati.
Addressing party workers and participants, Tinku Roy said the Bharatiya Janata Party has been organising Mandal-level training camps across Tripura as part of a wider organisational initiative. He stated that the Chandipur programme aims to provide structured training to Booth and Mandal-level workers through sessions covering eight different topics.
“The primary objective of this training camp is to cultivate dedicated workers and strengthen the organization,” Roy said while outlining the significance of ideological and organisational training within the party structure.
He further informed that discussions during the workshop would focus on the BJP’s core ideology, organisational expansion strategies, policy matters, and the party’s role and commitments toward the nation. Roy also highlighted that the programme would showcase developmental initiatives undertaken by the Central Government over the past 12 years and the achievements of the Tripura State Government during the last seven-and-a-half years.
The two-day workshop is expected to conclude on Friday following multiple interactive sessions and training modules for party cadres.
