AVGC-XR consultation gains momentum as experts meet IT Minister Pranajit Singha Roy

Agartala, 21st  May 2026: A high-level delegation of industry leaders and experts participating in the Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on the draft Tripura AVGC-XR Policy 2026 called on Pranajit Singha Roy on May 20 to discuss the future roadmap for the state’s emerging digital and creative economy.

The workshop, organised by the Directorate of Information Technology, focused on strengthening Tripura’s Orange Economy ecosystem and exploring opportunities in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) sectors.

During the interaction, detailed discussions were held on creating a robust ecosystem for AVGC-XR industries in Tripura, promoting innovation, attracting investments, and generating employment opportunities for the youth. The meeting also explored ways to position Tripura as a promising destination for creative technology and digital content industries in the Northeast.

Senior officials present during the discussion included Kiran Gitte and Jeya Ragul Geshan B.

The visiting delegation comprised Vishal Parekh, Satyanarayan, Indrajit Ghosh, Manvendra Shukul, Vijaykumar, Richa Thakur, Aditya Mani and Aman Deswal.

The consultation initiative is expected to contribute significantly towards shaping Tripura’s AVGC-XR policy framework and fostering a vibrant digital creative industry ecosystem in the state.
