Agartala, 28th March 2024 : All the nine nominations filed in the West Parliamentary seat for the Lok Sabha were found valid said, Returning Officer of the West Parliamentary seat, Dr. Vishal Kumar. Speaking with reporters, Returning Officer of the West Parliamentary seat, Dr. Vishal Kumar, stated that a total of 9 nominations were submitted.
After scrutiny today, all nominations were found valid. “Among these 9 nominations, 5 are from independent candidates and 4 are from BJP, Congress, SUCI, RPI (A). All nominations are valid, and March 30 is the withdrawal date,” he said.
As of today, nine individuals have submitted their nominations, including Biplab Kumar Deb of the BJP, and Ashish Kumar Saha of the Congress, Brajalal Debnath from the Bahujan Mukti Party, independent candidate Ramendra Reang, Arnab Roy from the Republican Party of India (A), independent candidate Balaram Debbarma, independent candidate (formerly BJP) Milnapada Murasingh, Gauri Shankar Nandy from the Amara Bengali party, and SUCI (C) candidate Arun Kumar Bhowmik, to contest in Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency. It is to be noted that on April 19, polling will be held for 1-Tripura West Lok Sabha seat.
