Agartala, 23rd January 2025: A doctor at Chebri Hospital is facing serious allegations of medical negligence resulting in a young bride’s critical condition following childbirth. Biswajit Tanti, a resident of the Tablabari area in Khowai has accused the doctor of a grave error during surgery.
Sources informed that, Anima Tanti, wife of Biswajit Tanti was admitted to Chebri Hospital on December 7. The following day, she gave birth to a child but was subsequently referred to GB Hospital due to developing a severe physical problem. Doctors at GB Hospital identified a kidney issue, which Anima had no prior history of.
Anima Tanti had previously consulted the Chebri Hospital doctor in a private chamber. Since the surgery, she has undergone dialysis five times at GB Hospital, with her condition progressively worsening.
Today, Biswajit Tanti spoke to reporters, alleging that the deterioration in his wife’s health was due to a critical mistake made by the doctor during surgery at Chebri Hospital. The incident has sparked concerns about medical safety and accountability at the hospital.
