Agartala, May 19, 2023: Agartala Municipal Corporation for the first time launched two Mobile Toilet Vans having two toilet facilities each for man and woman here on Friday.
Speaking to media personnel here on Friday noon, Mayor Dipak Majumder said that the Agartala Municipal Corporation is introducing new things for the betterment of capital city and its people. Around Rs 10.50 lakh have been spent for launching these two mobile toilet vans for the people in Agartala city.
There has been a demand from a section of people to launch such facilities in the capital city of Tripura and accordingly, the corporation authorities introduced it. The corporation authority has also witnessed that the people face difficulties during various rallies organized in the capital city, he added.
Mayor also said that this facility of mobile toilet van would also be open for those people who are willing hire these vehicles during their own programmes or social functions.
However, this facility is mainly introduced for usage during rallies and processions in and around Agartala city, Majumder told reporters.
In this launching ceremony, Mayor was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Dr Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta, Mayor-in-Councils, councilors and staff of the corporation.
