Agartala, 16th May 2026 : Mayor Dipak Majumder on Saturday conducted a special inspection of civic infrastructure and public amenities in Ward No. 23 under the Agartala Municipal Corporation area.
During the inspection, the Mayor assessed the condition of drains and other civic facilities and directed concerned engineers and officials to undertake renovation work of the old and damaged drainage system in the locality.
Speaking during the visit, the Mayor said the Agartala Municipal Corporation is prioritizing the modernization of the drainage network ahead of the monsoon season to ensure a long-term solution to waterlogging and other civic problems faced by residents.
The inspection was also attended by Corporator Manimukta Bhattacharjee, AMC East Zone Chairman Sukhamay Saha, along with senior officials and engineers of the Municipal Corporation.
The Mayor reiterated AMC’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure and providing improved civic services to the people.
