Agartala Aug 18: Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar visited the old motor stand area on Thursday. Visiting the old motor stand area today, Dipak Majumder, said that a multi-storage parking zone will be set up in the old motor stand area of the corporation to decongest the city of Agartala. The prime minister had already laid the foundation stone for that. Also the space has already been demarcated for parking zones.
The Mayor added that the place will be barricaded in the next few days probably by August 25. He also said that Agartala city is being renovated in the smart city project. Development work is going on in different parts of the city. At the same time new plans are being undertaken.
Agartala Municipal Council Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Nigam Central Zone Chairman Ratna Dutta, Sadar SDM Asim Saha and others remained present during the inspection on Thursday.
