Agartala, June 21, 2023: Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, Agartala Municipal Corporation has initiated various developmental works and some of them are underway. As part of this, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Datta visited various wards to find out what development can be done in SC inhabited areas under the Municipal Corporation.
A delegation led by AMC Deputy Mayor Das Datta visited 7 ward areas on Wednesday. She was accompanied by Mayor-in-Corporator Bapi Das, North Zonal Chairman Pradeep Chanda, Corporators Nitu Dey, Tapan Lodh, Prasenjit Lodh, SC Welfare Chairman Tuton Das and other officials of the corporation.
The Deputy Mayor said that this visit is according to the instructions of the Chief Minister. She said, now a project has come up for the Scheduled Caste people, PMAY. They came out to see first hand the infrastructure development, skill enhancement and income generation under this project. The Deputy Mayor also said that they are going through everything before presenting the action plan for 2023-24.
