Amit Shah to flag off ‘Jana Bikash Yatra’ from Dharmanagar, Sabroom on Jan 05; Nadda to attend closing ceremony on Jan 12

Agartala, December 30, 2022: Aiming to highlight various schemes and projects implemented for the benefits of common people across Tripura, Pradesh BJP is organizing ‘Jana Bikash Yatra’ from January 05 next through two mammoth chariots holding the hands of union Home minister Amit Shah separately at Dharmanagar and Sabroom.

While the closing ceremony of the ‘Jana Bikash Yatra’ will be attended by BJP national president JP Nadda on January 12 next in Agartala city through a road show and open public meeting.

Speaking to media persons here at BJP state election office on Friday afternoon, party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said the chariot from Dharmanagar’s BBI at 11 AM and separate chariot from Sabroom at 2 PM on January 05 next.

The entire programme of ‘Jana Bikash Yatra’ will be supervised by the party’s state committee member and ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury from January 05 to 12 next throughout the state. The party’s state general secretaries Amit Rakshit and Tinku Roy have been assigned separate charges to look after Shah’s programme in Dharmanagar and Sabroom, respectively, he added.

Bhattacharjee said that the chariots will cover all 60 assembly constituencies, 200 public meetings, 100 foot marches and 50 roadshows will also be held. It is expected that this ‘Yatra’ will connect more than 10 lakh people.

Elaborating the eight-day long programme of ‘Jana Bikash Yatra’ in the state, ICA minister Chowdhury highlighted the significance of ‘Rath Yatra’ from January 05 next for re-establishing BJP government in Tripura through assembly polls of 2023.He also shared the road-map of two chariots starting from Dharmanagar and Sabroom on January 05 next. However, separate chariots will be crafted in Kanchanpur, Gandacherra, Boxanagar and Amarpur sub-divisions and march various routes and later join with the main chariots.Thereafter, BJP national president JP Nadda will attend the closing ceremony of ‘Jana Bikash Yatra’ on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda i.e. “Yuva Diwas” on January 12 next through a road show followed by an open public meeting in Agartala city, he added.Chowdhury also said that the BJP state committee has invited 10 central leaders including union minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Smriti Zubin IRani, etc. and Assam’s CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to attend different constituencies during these eight days event in the state.
