Locals book intoxicated thief from Jagannath Bari Temple Road in city

Agartala, December 30, 2022: Local people booked a thief from the terrace of a multi-stored building located beside Red Lotus Club at Jagannath Bari Temple road here on the late evening of Thursday last and later, the thief was handed over to West Agartala police station staff.

It is reported that an indigenous youth was found to be in an inebriated condition and suspicious movement since the evening of Thursday last. At around 6 PM, the youth managed a bamboo and indicated that bomb is hidden inside a parked vehicle. Thereafter, at around 8.30 AM, a pet dog was barking identifying an unknown person on the terrace of a multi-storied building located beside Red Lotus Club.

Hearing the continuous barking of the pet dog, an old lady of the house went to terrace and the youth attempted to attack her. Later, he left the building and hiding in an abandoned dark place on the opposite side of the building. Local people booked him and handed over to police, sources said.

Local people are of the opinion that the youth might be effected to drugs or undergoing through mental trauma.
