Agartala, 25th May 2026: Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has announced a series of visits to India’s border regions over the coming weeks, with Tripura included in his itinerary for early June.
On Monday night, Shah will arrive in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM, he is scheduled to visit the BSF’s Sanchu Border Outpost, where he will interact with security personnel and inaugurate welfare schemes. Later at 2:00 PM, he will chair a high-level review meeting on border security in Bikaner, attended by officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Rajasthan government, BSF, and district administrations of five border districts.
His next stop will be Bhuj, Gujarat, on May 29, where he will tour the BSF border outpost and visit Harami Nala.
Significantly for the Northeast, Shah will visit Tripura’s border regions on June 5, underscoring the state’s strategic importance in India’s border security framework. The visit is expected to include interactions with BSF officials and reviews of security preparedness along the India-Bangladesh frontier.
Following this, around June 15, the Home Minister will travel to Bengal to assess border management there.
