Agartala, 23rd August 2025:   Aiming to improving public healthcare infrastructure, the Ampi Community Health Centre (CHC) has undergone a major transformation aimed at creating a cleaner, more eco-friendly, and patient-friendly environment. Led by the CHC authority, the initiative has visibly improved both the aesthetics and functionality of the hospital campus.

Under the directive of the CHC in-charge at Ampi Nagar, staff members have been instructed to prioritize cleanliness, punctuality, and service dedication. Locals report that the hospital surroundings have been thoroughly cleaned, with garbage and waste materials removed to ensure a hygienic atmosphere. The interiors of the CHC have been adorned with potted plants and decorative flowers, while newly developed gardens now add vibrancy to the premises.

In addition to beautification, the CHC has introduced new medical equipment to strengthen its service delivery. Staff responsiveness has reportedly improved, with a noticeable increase in promptness and sensitivity toward patient needs. The overall appearance of the hospital has become more inviting, contributing to a rise in public confidence.

According to local residents, the outpatient department (OPD) has seen a sharp increase in daily footfall—from an average of 30–40 patients to nearly 100. The upgraded facilities and improved service standards are believed to be key factors behind this growth.

While the CHC boasts a newly constructed building with multiple service sections, locals have appealed for the deployment of at least two additional doctors and the installation of sonography equipment. They believe these additions would significantly enhance the centre’s capacity to serve the underprivileged population of Ampi block.
