Agartala, 23rd August 2025: Locals at Udaipur railway station were left stunned as a young couple’s secret journey was abruptly halted by railway police early this morning.
At approximately 7 am, amid the usual rush of commuters, 20-year-old Balram Das was arrested while attempting to board a train to Kolkata with Sonali Sarkar, a woman from his village and mother to a young child. The pair had hoped to evade attention, but their suspicious behavior drew the notice of railway authorities, who detained them for questioning.
Following the intervention, both individuals were handed over to the Udaipur Women’s Police Station for further investigation.
The incident quickly escalated when Balram’s parents arrived at the station, visibly distraught. In an emotional outburst, they declared, “We will no longer accept this boy. His pride has led him astray, this is a grave mistake.”
