Agartala Dec 02: Amra Bangali Tripura state committee strongly condemned the violent fiasco terming it to be a “bare act” of political vengeance.
The party demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of all accused responsible for the Charilam incident. Besides, it also demanded adequate government compensation for the victim’s family and government job for one of the deceased’s family member.Talking to the reporters amid a press briefing, Gouranga Rudra Pal, state secretary of Amra Bangali party warned to stage larger movement in near days if the demands are not met at the earliest.
Statewide protest rallies are being carried out condemning the incident while several leaders of opposition parties including Congress met the deceased Sahid Mia’s family members on Friday.Even as Charilam, limps to normalcy after November 30’s political violence which left one CPI-M worker dead, political parties wasted no time in blaming each other to be responsible behind the fate.
