Agartala, 12th January 2026: The Amra Bangali State Office marked Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary with solemnity and respect. State Secretary Gouranga Rudra Pal, Youth and Publicity Secretary Dulal Ghosh, Central Committee member Ashok Kumar Das, Student-Youth Secretary Biplab Das, and Women’s Secretary Kanan Das were present at the event. Gouranga Rudra Pal offered floral tributes to Vivekananda’s portrait, followed by other party representatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Rudra Pal highlighted Vivekananda’s role as a modern philosopher, writer, musician, and a symbol of 19th-century Indian nationalism. He recalled Vivekananda’s message of universal brotherhood delivered in Chicago, stressing service to humanity as true worship of God.
Rudra Pal noted that Vivekananda’s ideals deeply influenced Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s vision of an independent, self-reliant India. He urged leaders to implement Vivekananda’s philosophy in practice rather than limiting it to ceremonial observances. Sweets were distributed among passersby to mark the occasion.
