Agartala, 27th October 2025: The state committee of ‘Amra Bangali’ has raised strong concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in Tripura, demanding immediate measures to ensure the safety and dignity of the Bengali community. Today, the organization submitted a seven-point memorandum to the West Tripura District Magistrate urging swift administrative action.
According to the organization, recent incidents of targeted attacks, intimidation, and social discrimination against Bengalis have created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity. “The need to safeguard the lives, property, and rights of Bengali residents has become urgent,” said a spokesperson for the group.
The submitted demands include: protection of life and property of Bengalis residing in the state, strict administrative action to uphold law and order, prevention of hate campaigns against the Bengali community, deployment of special police patrols in rural areas to maintain peace and security, and additional measures to curb communal tensions and ensure justice for victims.
Leaders of ‘Amra Bangali’ warned that failure to act promptly could lead to intensified protests. “If the administration does not respond with effective steps, we will be compelled to launch a larger movement,” they stated after handing over the memorandum.
