Agartala, 18th May 2024:   The All Tripura Anganwadi Worker Helper Organization was launched on Saturday, marking a new chapter for Anganwadi workers and helpers in the state. The new organization has emerged with a strong critique of existing groups, accusing them of neglect and inefficacy.

Speaking to media personnel here on Saturday, president of the newly formed organization Arundhati Das said that the grievances that led to the formation of this new entity. She highlighted that the Anganwadi workers have long felt abandoned by the established organizations, which have failed to advocate for their needs and rights effectively. Despite various attempts to draw attention to pressing issues, these organizations have offered little to no support, according to Das.

“The Anganwadi workers and helpers have been repeatedly insulted and marginalized by these organizations. They have kept our problems alive without seeking real solutions or even bothering to communicate these issues to the government,” Das stated emphatically. She further alleged that the leadership of the existing organizations has been indifferent, causing more harm than good to the community they are supposed to represent.

The new organization aims to rectify this neglect by actively engaging with the government and ensuring that the voices of Anganwadi workers are heard and addressed. “Our primary objective is to bring to light the myriad problems faced by Anganwadi workers and to push for concrete actions from the authorities,” Das asserted.

The establishment of the All Tripura Anganwadi Worker Helper Organization signals a call for change and a unified effort to improve the working conditions and respect for Anganwadi workers and helpers, who play a crucial role in the community’s welfare. The new organization’s leadership is committed to fostering a supportive and effective platform that truly represents and advocates for their interests.
