Agartala, 8th October 2023 : Leader of Opposition and TIPRA Motha MLA Animesh Debbarma on Sunday slammed the state government for not taking any proper steps to make the state drugs free and demanded to set up drugs rehabilitation centre in every assembly constituencies by forming a committee including all the MLAs from ruling and oppositons parties.
Addressing a press conference, Debbarma said, “the state governemnt are talking about Nesa Mukta Tripura but Nesa is increasing in each and every areas. The numbers of paddlers are increasing along with drug consumer, HIV AIDS positive cases. The Ministers are saying they will create drugs free Tripura but how? They must have formed a committee across all party lines and should have set up drugs rehabilitation center in each and every assembly constituencies. With out any proper arrangements they are saying such things. Government must take an immediate steps or else an entire generation will destroy”.
