Annual Festival at Kasba Kali bari begins

Agartala, 1st December 2024:  The annual festival at the revered Kasba Kali Temple commenced on Sunday with the auspicious Ganga Anayaan and the Ghat Baran ceremony on the occasion of the new moon puja in the month of Agrahayan. Organized with prayers for world peace and the welfare of all life, the event also marked the beginning of Harinama Sankirtan, filling the temple premises with spiritual fervor.

The program, a joint effort by the Kamalasagar Tourism Development Society and the Kasba Kali Temple Puja Committee, witnessed the presence of prominent figures, including MLA and Vice President of the State BJP Bhagban Das, Kamalasagar MLA Antara Sarkar Deb, and Tripura Tea Development Corporation Chairman Samur Ghosh.

The spiritual atmosphere was elevated by the participation of Param Pujyanaya Sri Sri Chitra Maharaj Ji of Shanti Kali Ashram and Param Pujyanaya Sri Sri Sachidananda Puri Maharaj Ji of Tapovan Ashram, who performed the traditional rituals.

Speaking to the media, Pradesh BJP Vice President Bhagwan Das emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “The Kasba Kali Temple holds immense spiritual and cultural importance in Tripura. This festival unites devotees in their prayers for peace and prosperity across the globe. It’s a moment of pride and devotion for the region.”

Devotees gathered in large numbers at the temple, joining in the sankirtan and paying their respects to Goddess Kasveswari. The festival, which will continue with various rituals and cultural events, underscores the vibrant spiritual heritage of Kamalasagar.
