Agartala, 5th October 2023: In a spirited commencement, the Annual Training Camp 2023-24 for the 13 Tripura Battalion National Cadet Corps (NCC) began on Thursday at the NSSRC (NSSRC). The camp, set to span over ten days, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 372 cadets hailing from various educational institutions across Tripura.
Representing diverse categories including SD (Senior Division), SW (Senior Wing), JD (Junior Division), and JW (Junior Wing), these dedicated cadets originate from 11 colleges and 30 schools, all eager to absorb the invaluable lessons that the camp has to offer.
S. Sriram, the Deputy Group Commandant of Silchar NCC Group, expressed his pride in overseeing the training of a staggering 23 thousand NCC cadets from Tripura, Assam, and Mizoram. The primary objective of this annual training camp lies in instilling a sense of responsibility towards society within these young minds.
Through carefully curated activities, such as physical training and yoga sessions in the morning, the camp seeks to foster the development of essential qualities like interpersonal skills, confidence, leadership, and discipline.
