ARDD employee held for taking money promising govt job

Agartala, July 21 – A shocking case of fraud has been exposed in Tripura, as the police apprehended one Tapan Naha, a resident of Udaipur Khilpara Amtali area, for deceiving innocent people with false promises of government jobs by taking huge amount of money from them in Santirbazar.

The accused person identified as Tapan Naha, a resident of Udaipur Khilpara Amtali area, has been accused of cheating people in the name of providing government jobs. Allegedly, he collected Rs 5 lakh 40 thousand from five individuals in the Shantirbazar area, promising them government jobs. The money was collected from them three and a half years ago, but the promised jobs were never delivered, and the victims are still unemployed.

Tapan Naha is known to work in the ARDD at Shantirbazar. After the matter was reported to the local Khilpara area’s ruling party leadership, Tapan Naha handed over five checks from Punjab National Bank to the residents of Shantirbazar area. However, upon contacting the bank, the victims discovered that Tapan Naha’s account had only Rs 96.

Soon after the victims and other residents of Shantirbazar area has reached at Tapan Naha’s house in Udaipur today to recover their money.

Tapan Naha’s wife was informed about the situation, and she admitted to the entire incident.

They also informed that Radhakishorpur police station and they swiftly arrived at the scene to handle the situation.

Upon being questioned, Tapan Naha confessed to the police that he had indeed defrauded the victims and taken their money. The fraudulent activities have caused a stir and unrest in the entire area. Tapan Naha has been arrested by the Radhakishorpur police and taken into custody for further investigation and legal proceedings.
