Armed robbers strike 3 houses at Ramnagar, Gangail Road areas

Agartala, July 24, 2023: Taking advantage of darkness, miscreants carried out a series of attacks in the Ramnagar and Gangail Road areas targeting three homes on Sunday night. Sometime between 1 AM and 2 AM, the criminals launched simultaneous assaults on the houses.

Families residing in the affected houses recounted that they were asleep after having dinner in the evening. The attackers reportedly turned off street lights before executing the planned attacks, plunging the area into darkness. The miscreants broke open the main gate and forcefully entered the homes, causing chaos and panic among the residents. The incident left the families shaken and seeking shelter inside their homes.

The robbers’ motives remain unclear, leaving the locals fearful and anxious. Authorities are investigating the incident, and local residents are expressing concern over the lack of security measures and inadequate patrolling in the area during the night. They fear that if immediate action is not taken, such incidents may continue to take place, leading to more distress among the residents.

The community is urging the police to intensify vigilance and implement stronger security measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The need for enhanced patrolling and adequate street lighting to ensure residents’ safety has become apparent, and swift action is called for to restore a sense of security in the neighborhood.
