Agartala, 27th October 2025:  A suspected arson attack in the early hours of today has left a local resident’s livestock shelter and vehicle completely gutted, sparking panic and outrage in the Srinathpur Ward No. 1 area of Kailashahar.

Local sources informed that the incident took place around 3 am when unidentified miscreants allegedly poured petrol and set fire to the property of Osman Ali, a resident of the locality. The blaze quickly engulfed the livestock shed and a vehicle parked in front of the house, reducing both to ashes within minutes. Neighbours, startled by the raging flames, rushed out of their homes in fear and alerted the fire department.

Firefighters arrived promptly and managed to bring the fire under control after nearly an hour of effort. However, by then, the damage was extensive—Ali’s vehicle, livestock shelter, and essential household furniture were completely destroyed.

Osman Ali has alleged that the attack was a deliberate act of sabotage stemming from personal enmity. “They targeted me intentionally. I’ve suffered a loss of nearly Rs 10 to Rs 12 lakh,” he claimed.

The incident has triggered widespread concern among residents, who say the area has seen a rise in thefts, snatching, and other disruptive activities in recent weeks, leaving many feeling unsafe.

Irani police station staff reached the scene shortly after the fire was reported and have launched a preliminary investigation. Authorities are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators. Officials have assured that efforts are underway to bring those responsible to justice swiftly.
