Assam Rifles holds mass plantation drive at Agartala Garrison

Agartala, August 18: Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised ‘Mass Plantation Drive’ on Friday at Agartala Garrison, West Tripura district.

The aim of the event was to create a positive impact on the environment, promote sustainable practices and involve troops in nurturing and protecting the nature for present and future generations.

During the event different saplings of fruit bearing and non-fruit bearing trees were planted and awareness was spread amongst all ranks to protect the environment and contribute in restoring the ecosystem.

The event was attended by 93 persons of Assam Rifles who planted 250 saplings with full zeal and enthusiasm.
