Agartala, 30th April 2026 : As part of its continued commitment towards promoting national integration, cultural awareness and youth empowerment, Assam Rifles organised a Student Exchange Programme for the students of Assam Rifles Public School, Udaipur, Tripura, to Dima Hasao District, Assam, from 27 to 30 July 2026.
The programme provided students with an enriching educational experience while exposing them to the rich history, cultural heritage and natural beauty of the region.
During the programme, the student contingent was welcomed Assam Rifles battalion at Haflong where they were briefed on the history ethos and multifaceted role of Assam Rifles in maintaining peace, security and undertaking developmental initiatives across the Northeast.
The students visited prominent landmarks including Haflong Lake, Circuit House and the historic town of Maibang, gaining valuable insights into the district’s historical significance, cultural heritage and tourism potential.
They also visited the Office of the District Commissioner, Dima Hasao, to understand the functioning of the district administration and various government departments.
As part of the exposure programme, the students attended a Career Counselling and Motivational Lecture and a weapon equipment display. The programme concluded with students and teachers expressing their sincere gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising a meaningful and memorable educational visit.
