Agartala, 30th April 2026 : In a bid to promote environmental conservation and encourage academic excellence, the Dharmanagar Press Club organized a special tree plantation and merit award ceremony at Padmapur Higher Secondary School auditorium. The event was marked by enthusiasm and active participation from students, teachers, and community members.
The program was graced by the District Magistrate of North Tripura and Collector, Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty, Press Club President Buddhu Bhushan De Sarkar, along with Press Club officials, school faculty, education enthusiasts, and a large gathering of students and guardians.
The ceremony began with a tree plantation drive in the school premises, where the District Magistrate, Press Club members, and teachers planted saplings. This was followed by the main award distribution session in the auditorium, where outstanding students were felicitated for their remarkable academic achievements.
In his address, the District Magistrate congratulated the meritorious students and wished them a bright future. He lauded the Press Club’s initiative, stating, “Beyond journalism, this effort to foster environmental awareness and recognize talent reflects true social responsibility.”
