Assam Rifles in joint operation seizes 80 thousand Yaba Tablets worth Rs 12.8 crore

Agartala, 3rd August 2024:  Assam Rifles in a successful Joint Operation with the Customs Department seized 80,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 12.8 crore in Hezamara in Khowai district on Saturday. The joint operation also resulted in seizure of one Bolero.             

Based on credible information, an operation was launched by Assam Rifles in the general area Hezamara. The team successfully recovered 80,000 Yaba Tablets. Seized contents alongwith the vehicle were handed over to Police Department for further investigation & legal proceedings.

The operation’s success is in continuation of a series successful operations undertaken by Assam Rifles in Tripura, highlighting Assam Rifles’ commitment to fight against illegal smuggling of contraband items and strengthen initiatives to make the society free from Drugs.
