Assam Rifles organised awareness lecture on “Malaria Prevention” for students

Agartala, August 5: Assam Rifles conducted Awareness lecture on “Malaria Prevention” for students of Assam Rifles Public School, Agartala Garrison, West Tripura District on Saturday.

Students were briefed by the medical team of Assam Rifles on aspects related to prevention of malaria, diseases caused by mosquitos & measures to deny breeding ground to mosquitos and how to maintain health and hygiene near water sources by countering water logging.

Students were also briefed about how to correctly apply repellants and the necessary steps to keep in mind at home to prevent mosquito bites.A total of 350 students & 25 teachers attended the event which culminated with distribution of light refreshments to all students and teachers.

This intiative taken by Assam Rifles for educating and upliftment of students and general populace in the state was highly appreciated by the teaching staff of the school.
