Assam Rifles provides critical assistance to civilians affected by landslide at Haflong

Agartala, 4th July 2025:  A sudden landslide between Mupa and Dihakho Railway Stations caused major disruptions to railway services, leaving a large number of passengers stranded at New Haflong Railway Station on July 03. In a swift and coordinated response to the unfolding humanitarian situation, Assam Rifles immediately mobilized its personnel and resources to assist the affected civilians. The troops provided essential medical aid, emergency care and support to vulnerable passengers, including the elderly, women and children, many of whom were suffering from dehydration due to the prolonged ordeal.
