Agartala, November 10: Radhanagar Battalion of 21 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East)*, recovered 338 kg Marijuana worth Rs 1.3 Crores from Betbagan, under Ambassa police station in Dhalai district on Wednesday.
Based on the credible information, a joint operation was launched by a team of Assam Rifles by Radhanagar Battalion and Ambassa PS. The patrolling party seized one vehicle alongwith driver named Tapan Debbarma and Co Driver Samrit Debbarma with 338 Kg of Ganja worth Rs. 1.3 Crores.
The individual along with seized vehicle and Ganja were handed over to Ambassa police station in Dhalai district, Tripura on Wednesday last for further investigation & legal proceedings.Assam Rifles is carrying out various operations and spreading awareness against drugs towards the aim of drug free Tripura, informed in a press communique on Thursday.
