Assam Rifles wings the future – NCC cadets get hands-on with drones and obstacle course training

Date:

Agartala, 25th June 2026:   In a landmark initiative to inspire and empower the next generation of defenders, Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a special experiential training programme for NCC Cadets at Agartala Garrison Ground on 24 June 2026. The programme comprised two exciting modules — an Introduction to Drone Technology and an Introduction to Obstacle Course Training — offering cadets a rare, immersive glimpse into the world of modern soldiering.

Under expert guidance from Assam Rifles personnel, cadets got hands-on experience operating drones, gaining practical insight into emerging technologies increasingly central to national defence. The Obstacle Course segment challenged cadets physically and mentally, instilling the values of grit, teamwork and perseverance that define the Assam Rifles ethos.

The event drew an overwhelming response, with cadets participating with remarkable enthusiasm and curiosity. Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles remains committed to nurturing young talent and bridging the gap between civil youth and the armed forces — building the soldiers and leaders of tomorrow, today.
