Two Bangladeshi nationals detained at Debdaru Police Outpost area

Agartala, 25th June 2026:   Police in South Tripura have detained two Bangladeshi nationals on charges of infiltration within the jurisdiction of the Debdaru police outpost.

According to police sources, the arrests were made following a search operation on a passenger bus, conducted on the basis of a tip-off. The detained individuals include one man and one woman, both residents of Chattogram, Bangladesh.

Authorities confirmed that the duo was taken into custody for entering Indian territory without valid documents. Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of their infiltration and whether they had any local contacts or specific objectives.

Security has been tightened in the border region, and police have assured that legal proceedings will follow under relevant sections of law.
