Agartala, 13th October 2025: The ATMEWA state committee yesterday held an emergency virtual meeting from 8:30 PM to 10:40 PM, chaired by the President of the ATMEWA Sanjay Niyogi. The meeting focused on pressing wage-related grievances and future organizational strategies.
Following unanimous consensus, the committee resolved to implement a series of immediate actions. On October 13, members from all 58 blocks of the state will submit written or verbal deputations to their respective Block Development Officers (BDOs), highlighting the issue of delayed wage disbursement. The committee stressed the need to involve media representatives to ensure the matter receives adequate attention.
On October 14, deputations will be submitted at the district level to the respective District Magistrates (DMs), with continued support from journalist allies to maintain visibility and accountability.
On October 15, a delegation from the State Committee will meet with the Secretary of the Rural Development Department to further discuss the issue and seek a resolution.
Finally, on October 25, the State Committee will convene an extended meeting to finalize the date for forming a full-fledged state committee. This session will also focus on establishing a preparatory committee and outlining strong future plans for the organization.
The upcoming meeting will be attended by all members of the State Committee, presidents and secretaries from eight districts, and representatives from all 58 blocks.
