Agartala, February 25, 2023: Panic triggered at Ramkrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir school premises here when miscreants attempted trafficking of girl student on Saturday.

It is reported that a person wearing a black shirt lured a girl student of class one through classroom window showing chocolate. But when the girl did not come out of the classroom, the person sprayed on her nose.

At the same time, the students informed the other students in the classroom by covering their nose. Next time, the teachers were informed about the matter and the police were informed. Police rushed to the spot. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, Chittranjan Debbarma, a teacher in-charge of the school, said that the class III students informed him about the matter. But he admitted that there is no lock in the school gate. The primary section students said that not just chocolate, but after spraying, the unknown person pressed on her nose. When the rogue was leaving the school, the students also saw a knife in his possession. The students started shouting.

Upon hearing the screaming of the students, the parents entered the school and were terrified to find out. Parents say there is no gateman in the school gate. The biggest thing is that the school gate is always open. As a result, any person can enter the school premises. Teachers are not staying in the classrooms most of the time. Consequently, parents suffer from insecurity. Therefore, parents claimed that a gateman must be arranged in the school gate.

In addition, ID cards should also be arranged for parents. A student should not be handed over to the guardian without the actual guardian and the school teachers and management committee have to take responsibility.

Through this incident, it is an admitted fact that there is an active child trafficking cycle in the state.
