Agartala, February 26, 2023: After peaceful voting procedure held across the state, terror-like activities continued to prevail at Sukanta Palli area under Amtali police station. The bombardment of two explosives at Babul Saha’s house has taken away the sleep of local people on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
It is alleged that the BJP-backed miscreants hurled two bombs at Babul Saha’s house in the area around 12 midnight. When the people of Babul Saha’s family started shouting out of the house, the people around the neighborhood reached the spot.
As soon as local people developed resistance, the ‘Bike Bahini’ fled from the spot. In the assembly elections of 2023, Babul Saha worked as a party worker of 14-Badharghat assembly constituency’s Forward Bloc candidate Partha Ranjan Sarkar. Babul Saha believed that the ruling party’s workers have done this terror activity. But the surprising thing is that the police did not reach after being informed.
Meanwhile, Babul Saha also said that the BJP-backed miscreants have organized the attack on his family many times before. A case has been filed against the accused persons with Amtali police station.
Not only that, the then Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, and the then BJP state president Dr Manik Saha, were notified of the incidents but did not get any justice in the past.
On Saturday morning, CPIM Dukli Deputy Secretary Narayan Deb, party leader Arindam Biswas, candidate Parth Ranjan Sarkar led a delegation visited Babul Saha’s house. They protested the incident. Abul Hossain, secretary of the CPIM Hapania Anchal committee said the indulgence of anti-social elements is going on across the state. Without confirming the defeat of the BJP alliance government, there is no opportunity to stop this anarchy. On March 2, such anti-socials will no longer be able to raise their heads if the government of peace and development of the state is established, he added.
